Moonlight Jazz plays standards, bebop, ballads and bossa nova, in the tradition of great American performers like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, and more. The band is available as a trio (with piano, upright bass and jazz drums á la Bill Evans), as a quartet with the addition of saxophone or vocals, or as a quintet with both, and can play dynamic levels from classy background to lively and hot – whatever is needed. These accomplished musicians can also branch out into other styles in the jazz family such as Latin and Brazilian jazz, 1920’s Gatsby-era, groovy soul jazz and blues, or organ trio depending on the event. The band has played the finest fancy private venues from Carmel and Monterey and Silicon Valley to San Francisco, Napa and Sonoma.
